Hello and welcome to our Website!
We do have sad news.... our wonderful Zebra "Rafiki" passed away on Thursday 9th September. He has been the Icon of the Zoo for well over 20 years and will be sadly missed. If you have any fond memories of Rafiki please come and let us know.

JUNIOR ZOO KEEPER PROGRAMME
Yes it's that time again...School Holidays !!!
Come and be a "Junior Zoo Keeper" for the day, this is a fun way to spend the day.
If you love animals and want to see some of our 'locals' here at Pouakai Zoo up close and personal then send me an email and enrol today.
The programme is for children aged 7 to 16 years, runs from 10.30am to 3.00pm and all you need to bring is your lunch...oh and some older clothes as you never know who might poop on you Tongue out
So send me an email or give me a call for some more information on this great activity.
